Whale beached at Pringle Bay

Today a whale was beached on the coast of Pringle Bay; the cause of the beaching will be investigated

after the initial investigation Overstrand Municipality will be working on site to clear the dead whale for the next three days - possibly longer - weather permitting. The Pringle Bay parking area will be cordoned off at the slipway with limited access to the beach and slipway. This is due to the constricted operational space and safety concerns arising from large moving vehicles and machines being used in the operation.
